Covenant House Month

Youth homelessness has become a national epidemic, with almost 45,000 young people in Canada who have no place to call home sometime during a year. February is Covenant House Month and our goal is to raise awareness of youth homelessness. Join us today to spread the word that it is time to end youth homelessness. Together we can give all of our youth the chance to live a life of opportunity and hope.

February is Covenant House Month. The month has been recognized by the Ontario government. Throughout this month, we will shine a light on the issue of youth homelessness, as well as help raise much-needed funds to serve the homeless youth who come to us.

February 2nd marks the 35th anniversary of our opening. A pioneer in the care of homeless youth, we have grown to become a national leader and advocate. Since 1982, we have offered our services and support to more than 90,000 youth.

We need your help to make a difference.

Here are just a few of the things you can do:

  1. Spread the word. Tell your friends, family, co-workers and government representatives about Covenant House Month and the issue of youth homelessness. Share our message through Facebook, Twitter (#chmonth), Linkedin or your favourite social media site. Visit our pages today to get the latest posts.

  2. Donate or fundraise. We rely on donors like you for more than 80% of our budget. Donate here to help us offer life-changing services to the youth who come to us. For some fundraising ideas, click here.

Covenant House changes the lives of at risk, homeless and trafficked youth. More than a place to stay, we serve as many as 250 young people every day through 24/7 crisis shelter and transitional housing programs on-site and in the community and comprehensive services, including education, counselling, health care, employment assistance, job training and aftercare.
