When kids find themselves homeless, it is a terrifying and devastating feeling. They don’t know where to turn for help and are often victimized by predators. Covenant House offers food, shelter and counselling to get homeless kids off the street and into a safe and loving environment where they can begin to plan a better future.

Give today and change the life of a homeless youth.

Unconditional Love

The street is a dangerous and often deadly place. Desperate and alone, kids are easy prey for those who wait to lure them into a life of drugs, prostitution, crime and violence.

Our doors are open to youth 16 to 24 regardless of race, religion and sexual orientation or the reason they need help. We offer street kids unconditional love and guidance without judgment. We value them so they can learn to value themselves.

Make a difference and donate today.

As Canada's largest homeless youth agency, Covenant House Toronto changes lives by providing the widest range of services and support under one roof. A national leader, we educate and advocate for change to help at-risk, homeless and trafficked youth by influencing public policy and delivering prevention and awareness programs.

More than a place to stay, our agency serves youth through our 24/7 crisis shelter and transitional housing on-site and in the community, as well as with our comprehensive services, including education, counselling, health care, employment assistance, job training and aftercare. As many as 250 youth a day use our residential and support services.

To do all this, we rely on donors for more than 80 percent of our $24.4-million annual operating budget.

Our doors are open to youth 16 to 24 regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or the circumstances that have brought them to our doors.

We work to help homeless youth move from a life on the street to a life with a future. Since 1982, Covenant House has served more than 90,000 young people.
“They are more like parents. They open their arms to you. They make you feel like you’re important, that you’re strong, that you can be independent, that you have the capabilities to do anything in life. I thought it was just them doing their job, but they are so persistent with what they do and how good they are, you can’t not believe it.”

SOURCES OF REVENUE

Unlike other social service agencies, we are funded heavily by donations. This means that we work very hard on our fundraising efforts so that services to our kids are not dictated by government policies.
