Sleep Out 2017

On Nov. 16, 2016, seventy of the city’s top business and community leaders slept out and raised more than $1 million for homeless kids at Covenant House. With only a sleeping bag and cardboard, participants in the fourth annual Covenant House Executive Sleep Out spent the night on the cold pavement.

Participants included NHL alumnus Paul Coffey; Maureen Jensen, chair and chief executive officer of the Ontario Securities Commission; Doug Mizzi, president, TJX Canada; Ana Dominguez, president, Campbell Company of Canada; and David Bradt, executive director, CIBC Global Markets, who got a small glimpse of the hardships kids can face on the street.

The local effort was part of an international event that happened simultaneously at 18 other Covenant House sites across North America, including Vancouver.
