Do I have a relationship problem?

If you answer yes to two or more of the questions below, you should talk to someone you trust about your relationship problems like a teacher, school counsellor or health care professional. You can also email us at help@covenanthouse.ca. We will reply Monday to Friday, 9 to 5.

1. Is the person you’re in a relationship with too demanding?
2. Does the person you’re in a relationship with put too many limits on you?
3. Do you feel the person you’re in a relationship with doesn’t understand you?
4. Does the person you’re in a relationship with embarrass you?
5. Do you distrust the person you’re in a relationship with?
6. Does the person you’re in a relationship with act very jealous?
7. Is the person you’re in a relationship with drinking or using drugs too often?
8. Is the person you’re in a relationship with the victim of verbal or physical abuse?
9. Is the person you’re in a relationship with verbally or physically abusive to you?
10. Are you constantly angry towards the person you’re in a relationship with?
11. Do you feel violent towards the person you’re in a relationship with?
