Thinking of suicide

Most teens who kill themselves, or try to, have lost hope. They are unable to see that there are other ways to solve their problems. If you, or a friend, are feeling overwhelmed, stressed-out or are coping with depression or thoughts of suicide, this is a place to learn more about what to do.

Teens are under a lot of stress to be accepted, to do well in school, to get along with their families and to make important decisions about their futures. Most of this stress is hard to avoid, and it is normal to worry. But if you, or a friend, are thinking or talking about suicide, you must talk to someone who can help now. Talk to someone like a school counsellor or doctor. You can also call Kids Help Phone 24/7 at 1-800-668-6868.
