In late May, a group of women from the film and television industry gave up the comforts of home to spend the night outside in support of at-risk, homeless and trafficked youth at Covenant House Toronto.
Thirty-five teams from the finance, legal, tech, real estate and entertainment sectors recently raised over $615,000 for our youth at the 3rd annual Covenant House Guts + Glory Team Obstacle Challenge presented by Home Trust.
Seventy-one of the city’s top business and community leaders slept out recently and raised more than $1 million to support our youth and life-changing programs. With only a sleeping bag and cardboard, participants in our fourth annual Covenant House Executive Sleep Out spent the night on the cold pavement in freezing temperatures.
For 22-year-old Mary, who recently moved into her own apartment from Covenant House’s emergency shelter, an opportunity from Covenant House and Hollyburn Properties Ltd. means she’ll now be able to pursue her goal of becoming a paediatric nurse.
