Development Manager, Corporate Relations
Full-time Position
As Canada’s largest agency serving at-risk, homeless and trafficked youth, Covenant House Toronto changes lives by providing the widest range of services and support to as many as 300 youth a day. As a national leader and the country’s largest privately funded youth care agency, we raise more than 80 percent of our $30.6 million annual operating budget from donations. Covenant House is part of an international network of 21 sites spanning from Alaska to Latin America. The Toronto site has served more than 95,000 youth since opening our doors.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Development, you have a strong sales background and are someone who enjoys the thrill of developing strategies and programs that will be attractive to new corporate partners. You are not afraid of a challenge. You excel at growing revenue from existing and new corporate partners by aligning corporate goals and interest to those of Covenant House Toronto. You enjoy working across departments to identify opportunities that will maximize support for Covenant House Toronto properties and programs. You are adept at developing tailored proposals that resonate with potential corporate partners.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years’ experience in fundraising or related area (corporate social responsibility, cause marketing/sponsorships, sales). The incumbent must have a proven track record in developing, writing and presenting compelling partnership proposals. This individual will be successful in securing multi-year financial gifts from new partners and in upgrading and renewing existing donor commitments. Success in achieving fundraising/sales targets and deadlines within established budgets is necessary. Attention to detail and accuracy and proficiency in Microsoft office is required. Raiser’s Edge knowledge, and experience would be beneficial. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is needed.
