Covenant House Month
Youth homelessness has become a
national epidemic, with up to 40,000 young people in Canada who have no place
to call home sometime during a year. February is Covenant House Month and our
goal is to raise awareness of youth homelessness. Join us today to spread the
word that it is time to end youth homelessness. Together we can give all of our
youth the chance to live a life of opportunity and hope.
Throughout Covenant House Month, we will shine a light on the issue
of youth homelessness, as well as help raise much-needed funds to serve the
homeless youth who come to us.
February 2nd marks the 36th
anniversary of our opening. A pioneer in the care of homeless youth, we have
grown to become a national leader and advocate. Since 1982, we have offered our
services and support to almost 95,000 youth.
We need your help to make a difference.
Here are just a few of the things you can do:
- Spread the word. Tell your friends, family, co-workers and government representatives about Covenant House Month and the issue of youth homelessness. Share our message with hashtag #CHMonth through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin or your favourite social media site. Visit our pages today to get the latest posts.
